Marketing · Lesson 5
A simple, sustainable content plan
Share useful expertise regularly. Consistency beats volume.
Content shows prospects how you think before they meet you. For a busy professional, the goal is not daily posting. It is a small, steady rhythm of genuinely useful material aimed at your ideal client.
Pick one main channel where your buyers are — often LinkedIn or email for professional services. Commit to one useful piece every week or two. Good topics come from client questions: 'How long does approval take?', 'What drives build cost overruns?'. Each answer is a post.
Write in plain language, one idea per piece, with a practical takeaway. Reuse content: a client presentation becomes three posts; a case study becomes a short article. Batch-write once a month to save time.
Example — Hypothetical: a month of content
Week 1: '3 reasons residential approvals get delayed.' Week 2: a short case study. Week 3: 'What to ask before hiring an architect.' Week 4: a photo from site with one lesson learned. About two hours of work in total.
Try this
List ten questions clients often ask you. Each one is a future post. Schedule the first two.
Reflect
What do you explain to clients again and again that could be written once and shared widely?
